Among the requests for "Shine a Light for Peace" bumper stickers, I received this letter from Amy in Michigan. I was very moved by Amy's words and her efforts to create a more peaceful world. Imagine what might happen if everyone took the time to write a letter like Amy's and send it to friends and others encouraging them to do a little something for Peace.
I'm doing it now - Won't you join us?

I am writing this letter out of concern for the present and future of our world and its inhabitants. In the past year, I have come to only one simple conclusion. If we are ever going to live in peace and harmony in this world, everyone must have peace in spirit and mind.

I am looking to get deeply involved in Green Peace, the Peace Corp., and international affairs because one person CAN make a difference in our world. I am tired of hearing about war, hate, crime, murder, weapons, and disease. All these things are brought on by troubled beings or simply by habits of pessimistic thinking. I also deeply believe that what you think directly affects your body and your situation in life. For instance, if you constantly say to yourself that your life is stressful and hopeless at times, then it WILL be. If you say you're sick instead of saying, "I will get well again." then you'll get worse.

But the main reason for this letter is to encourage you to join me in striving for a peaceful, uncluttered mind and a good heart. If you feel this letter is strange, that's fine. Most people these days don't think that such simple things can make a difference in our lives. These ideas seem foreign to some but, I guarantee you - positive thinking and living for the pursuit of a peaceful mind and a good heart WORKS WONDERS .

I don't know you personally but I'm just letting many people know this through my letters because I feel world peace IS tangible and realistic one day. I wish I could tell the whole world this news.

Please consider what I have to say and apply it to your daily life because then we'll be just one step closer.
